This piece, Renewal, follows on Illegitimi Non Carborundum. An individual steps out of the group and takes the bird’s eye view to be able to see what really matters. The scissors are used to cut the emotional cords to the old life and bad experiences, initiating the healing process. The coordinate painting completes the process by representing the consistency, like a drumbeat, of the work that needs to be done, the time and space that might be required bring it full circle.
